I have now heard for the first time on this site that the H-pipe and X-pipe have no real power or sound difference from each other. Tell me what you know!!!

There is a hp difference depending on what application you use, i.e - mufflers, cats, cat -back system. But there is no real MAJOR hp difference from all the dyno tests I have seen. The differences are more in where the torque and hp differ in the powerband. This is especially true when you are just using one or the other on a street car that will never be raced or modified beyond the average exhaust changes and bolt ons. If I'm wrong than my research was a waste of time. Hope this helps.
