Mufflers

I have a 2001 GT that just turns me on more every time I drive it and although I'm only a week end driver with this car my wife and I do go on long drives (400 miles last week end). I thinking of putting Ravin or Flowmasters on this pony but a little worried about the cabin noise on a long trip. Does anybody think this may be a problem or will it mellow out at highway speeds in 5th gear?

Mellow sound?

I'd go with Flowmaster 50 series.

My mom drives a 99 Mustang GT convertable.

I put Flowmaster 40 Series deltaflows on my 98 Cobra. They are loudest when accelerating through the 2000 RPM range Above that they mellow out. Unfortunately, that is about highway speed in 5th so it has been a little annoying unless you have some wide open road, but they sound good.

See my post in the Specialty section. I think that I might have lost power with the new mufflers.

I was worried about the Flowmaster Drone at highway speeds so I put a set of Dynomax mufflers on my 2000 GT. I have to say I am very happy about it. It sounds aggressive enough to turn heads but doesn't blow your ears out on the interstate. After riding in a car with Flows, and then my car, I would never put Flows on any car I had to drive anywhere but the track!
