Get the car up in the air. You'll see at the tailshaft housing where the speedometer cable goes in to the housing. Use a 7/16" wrench to remove the clamp bolt at the cable/tailshaft. Pull the end of the cable out of the tailshaft housing. Use a small screwdriver to pry the c-clip off the plastic speedometer gear. Slide the gear off the end of the cable. Slide new gear on to cable. Reverse the disassembly procedures to re-assemble. Don't over-tighten the clamp bolt though, just snug it up nice and firm.
Total time once the car's up in the air is about 10-minutes for a first-timer.
