Need to replace intake manifold... what to do...?
I noticed this weekend some coolant on my engine...
The first thing I thought of was the intake recall... I don't have the new and improved intake and honestly, I doubt Ford is going to take care of this... But let's not argue whether are not Ford will fix this for free... Let's say I have to fix this myself... Eventually I plan on doing the head swap but for now what do I do? My car doesn't seem to suffer at this point... Is it going to get worse? How quickly? Is there a new intake that will work well for my car but that I can use later when I swap heads or am I going to have to change intakes again? If I have to change intakes again when I do the heads (which will be a year or two from now) I won't care too much if the intake isn't going to cost me an arm and a leg. What should I get and from where? Any other suggestions are welcome... |
