New Blower but can't Hammer! uggghhh

Well, just picked up the 96 GT with the new Huffer on it. It's pingin' pretty bad so now I gotta go to 30lb injectors, bigger MAS air and recal. the FMU. You know how you look forward to something FOREVER only to find out you STILL have to WAIT SOME MORE. AAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!!!! Just venting - anybody else go through this?

yea, nothing like a bolt on blower...oh, and by the way, don't forget to get a bigger in-tank pump, an in-line pump, bigger injectors, new mass air calibration and a custom chip will help with all the new surging problems because there's so much few now at cold start...but it's a straight bolt on! you gotta love it!

Hey C.T. - Yeah, fortunately I've done all the other stuff (ok., except for a DIS-4 ignition to retard the timing!) MOD MOTORS - YA GOTTA LOVE 'EM!

glad to hear your got your blower! have some questions though, i was under the impresion that vortech set-up was ready to go as shipped. did they screw you around? now that you went with them what would have been a better choice if your stang could double as a time machine? hope it works out for the best!!!

Thx for the congrats shifty - Actually, it would appear that the blower is TOO good - it's rated @ 6-9 psi but we got 12 on the gauge! With that much boost it's no wonder - What really sucks is that Pro-M is closed for the holidays and I'm gonna have to wait until Y2K to be cruzin' my blown Stang! (30lb injectors already ordered!)

Mod motor cars are drivers, no hot rods unless you are rich.
89-93 W/powerdyne=cheep fun

Cheap fun until that Powerdyne chews itself to pieces, and spits metal shavings into your engine!

Several of my friends found this out the hard way...

glad you spoke up about powerdyne, i'm running 125 nos setup with in line booster pump designed for mod motor and was getting stupid ideas about a small blower in conjunction with a more moderate shot of nitrous! any thoughts?

Greystang302 12-26-1999 10:35 PM

Here is my thought, if you are going with any blower at all...
