New engine in '66 Stang

Is it possible to fit a newer ford engine in an '66 stang...and witch newer engines would fit easily.

If i want to have an V8 EFI (ford) engine in my (future) '66 stang.

and does anyone know if it is possible to fit an compressor or an turbocharger on the standard engines or do you need to rebuilt your engine completly?

If you run low boost, you can do it on stock internals. I would recommend beefing up the bottom end and make serious power with it, or you're just wasting money, IMO.

As far as dropping into a '66, anything can be done if you spend enough money. One thing to consider, the OHC motors are as wide across as the old big block motors. Nothing bigger than the 302W block (at 289cu in) came in that car. Easiest way to get EFI there would be with a 302, or 351 W.

Do you have the car already, or are planning on buying?

I'm planning on buying, and finding out what the possibleties are.

so a let's say mustang engine out of a '85 model does fit easy?

Yeah, the Windsor block was used all the way through '95. The 'best' years were 89-92, I think. In '85 you could still get a 4v carb on the motor, so I'm thinking you might want newer than that.

You might want to ask in the Windsor power forum, and the classic one too, for all the info about swapping in a new motor into that car.

Yeah oke thx, i'm very bizzy getting info on engines, maintenance, parts, tuning.

the problem is that i need to get it all from the us because overhere it's a problem getting the right parts...

btw the maintenance on the car wat can i expect if i drive like 10-15.000 miles a year
