Question Exhaust help?

I'm planning on replacing my 2 barrel carb (65 Hardtop) with a 4 barrel and going from single to dual exhuast. I'm looking for a nice " low throaty" sound (nothing too loud or over the top). Any suggestions on muffler type or exhaust setup? Will replacing the carb make it louder?

Bouf :-)

If you want to go from 2 barrell to 4 barrell, you will also need to replace the intake. The only thing that will do is give you more power, and less gas mileage.

For exhaust, get some flowmaster 40 series, and run an X pipe of some sort, that will sound real nice.

Default 2 1/2" 3 chamber Flows

I would use 2 1/2 " pipes and 3 chamber Flowmasters. It will still be a little loud though. Put on Tri-Y headers while you're at it. Use some sort of cross over between the dual pipes, not too far behind the collectors.
