Default Should I wait to get a S-TRIM or Novi 2000?

I planned on buying a supercharger around spring time but I unfortunately will not be able to swing the money for a S-Trim or Novi 2000 or a P1SC Procharger that I want. I figure on getting a
Novi 1000 or a Vortech SC (vortechs replacement for the A-trim). Right now my car has been dynoed at 271 hp and 292 torque with a best of 13.0 at 107 mph. I want to make the leap to the low 12's. What do you think I should do? Wait or buy now.

I think exgmguy on this board runs a Novi 1000 and runs high 10's in the 1/4 at nearly 130 mph. Sounds like a pretty good entry level blower to me, even though I'm not much of a fan of superchargers.

I may be biased but I'd recommend the Novi 1000. It flows better than the a-trim and almost as well as the s-trim. The 1000 can be pullied to a max of 15 psi so it has some room to grow if you don't like the 5-6 psi you'll get out of the box. I bought my Novi for $1698 and I think for the money, it's the best supercharger on the market. If you have any more questions about either the 1000 or 2000 check out www.novipower.com the entire site is dedicated to the Novi line of blowers and has excellent information on it.

I also reccomend the 1000, as there will be one under my hood in late summer unless I can find a good used S-trim

Word is that an F150 pulley will give you something like 8-9psi alone with the Novi 1000. Not bad for a $5 part from the junkyard

Word is correct...and that's with free flowing heads and intake. Stock heads and intake should see 10 psi on a cool day with the F150 pulley. Not too bad . Of course, you could always call up ASP and have them make you a custom 8" crank pulley for $200. Then it's hello 15 psi!
