Default oil pressure

I just bought a 2001 convertible with a 3.8 engine. The factory oil pressure gauge will not move from zero on cold mornings for about 1-2 minutes. At that time the gauge will rise to the normal operating level. After the initial start up it will operate properly for the rest of the day. Has anyone experienced this problm?
