Post oil pressure

I just ordered the auto meter oil pressure gauge and I was thinking where is the stock gauge sending unit and would that be the best place for the new fitting(mechanical gauge)or is there a better location for it.

The stock sending unit is right above the oil filter I believe. It's been awhile The sensor on the side of the oil pan is for oil level not the pressure.

Just "t" it off of the stock one...I wouldn't try to relocate it....they put it there for a reason....

I have mine hooked up with a "t" fitting and a copper line frm autometer. It seems to work great. But it is soo loud. I dont trust the nylon tubing and i dont want oil all over my interior so copper is the way to go....but it is like a microphone for engine noise inside. I am putting in an electric one soon.

I just installed the autometer electric fuel pressure gauge, and it's the way to go. it's really nice, obviously makes no noise, and they have been tested to be just as accurate as the manual ones, which is better, so you don' thave to run oil inside of your interior, or deal with crimping or running copper wire. i'd say go electric if you haven't already bought the manual.
