Painted valve covers
would it be totaly tacky to paint your valve covers to match the cars colors. It used to be common practice and valve covers used to come painted. I can't see paying 250 - 400 for aluminum or chrome covers. What do you guys think?

In my opinion... tacky...

i don`t see what it wood hurt over 200.00 for a dress up isa bit much just keep in mind though that you will need new gaskets and they are like 40.00 or more mine cost 82.00

The cost of the gaskets makes the total cost of the dress valve covers that much harder to swallow. IF i painted my covers and it is still a BIG "IF" it would have to be a really good paint job. It's still on the fence of being tacky but I have never seen a stang with nice painted covers. It may look good! Hey maybe this would start a trend!
