Cant decide what to do
Hi everyone, sorry i keep changing my mind on what to buy but i cant seem to decide. I have around 700 dollars to spend this fall on my 69 mustang, its a stock 302 with a auto, it already has dual flowmasters and thats it. What should i buy? A 600 cfm carb and manifold maybe? Or would i really be better off going with the gears? Maybe some longtube headers. Im still not quite sure about this, so any help is appreciated! Thanks

142.00 Edelbrock performer intake
299.00 Holley 600 Carb 129.00 Edelbrock Cam Part #2122 135.oo Headman Longtube headers #88300 Total of 705 dollars.....be more with tax and shipping...probably right around 800 when u figure in gaskets too. U could not get the cam, I added that in there after looking at Edelbrock's website on that cam in a power package. Take a look at it http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/index.html got to dyno tests, then performer Ford I would vote for this now...and gears and a shift kit next year when money permits. Ryan

Return on investment
Something to keep in mind too - once you have all the new items and installed and running to satisfaction - you are sure to get some of it back by selling off the parts you replaced. I do that regularly on E-bay and it helps finance the next project. You would be surprised how fast Mustang stuff goes there....

You said you already have FlowMasters with dual exhaust. What size are the exhaust tubes? Less than 2", you will need to upgrade that to 2 1/2" exhaust pipes IMHO. Still even more $$$. Reminds me of signs in old speed shops that said "Speed costs money. How fast do you want to go?" LOL. Rev
