Default power loss! spark? fuel? help!!!

Recently my car has been missing every once and a while. well i noticed that i had a spark plug boot rubbing on the header so i solved that. i replaced all of my plugs, and wires. Now, it dosent miss anymore but, it seems like i have a noticeable loss in horse power. now the other day i was driving in heavy rain with my fender cold air intake and while turning a corner i waded through a stream of water. the car wanted to die, and i knew what it was doing so i kept it reved to prevent it from dying. I let the filter dry and them changed my plugs. like i said no more miss but it seems like i have lost power. Im planing on racing this weekend with the bottle and I was thinking that if it has anyting to do with the car not getting enough fuel, that wouldent be a good idea. not much gas, lots of bottle and a lot of air = BOOOOOOM. so what are my options?
thanks for all of the help
Chris
