Price range for 4.6 Dohc rebuild?????
 

I have a 98 Cobra and the motor is about to go and I was wondering if anyone had a idea how much shops are charging or how much did you pay to rebuild it.

A DSS prepped shortblock will set you back about $3800. It's a lot better than the stock engine. I would seriously recommend upgrading if you plan to put some good boost on it.
