I am not sure if I understand your question. Do you mean things that you can do to the car that do not cost anything?

the only two things that I can think of to make the car quicker is to loose weight from the car (or driver for that matter) AND take off the air silencer (if that really works).

Could you explain what you need?

yes, that is it exactly, a site that shows free mods. i just traded inmy camaro for a mustang.

for the camaro's it was installuniversity.com

like i cut out a hole in my air box which boosted me about 15 hp, etc..

what can i do with the mustang?

I have been to a site that you might like, it has a bunch of things you can do like adjusting pedals, but really nothing "free" that will add hp. Some guys remove the air silencer on the air box, but it has not been proven to add any hp. Not to doubt you, but I seriously doubt that putting a hole in the air box would raise hp 15 unless it is a really horrible design in the first place. Even the best CAI only raise HP a few ponies on a dyno.

You can build your own CAI (cold air induction).

The common mods on a mustang with prices and HP gains are:

1 - CAI ($70 - $250) 0 - 10 hp (if blown, more)
2 - Under drive pullies ($170) - 8 - 10 hp
3 - Shifter fo ra 5 speed ($170) - no hp
4 - Gears, 4.10's or 3.73s ($500 installed) - no hp gain, but big improvement in acceleration and 1/4 mile
5 - Chip/programmer ($200 - $400) - 5 - 15 hp
6 - Catback ($200 - $500) - 0 - 5 hp
7 - X Pipe ($200 - $400) - 5 - 10 hp
8 - Cams ($800 installed) - 15 - 30 hp

Of course there are more, but these are the common bolt ons.

The cams alone are $600, is it that cheap for installation? I have never priced it, but thats not too bad.

I would like to know how much a cam install is as well, I'm gonna swap my non-pi for a PI and cant do it myself.....

I based this on hearing that it is a 4 hour job. But, I have had no luck getting a quote myself. You really need a dyno tune with the cams, although, the SCT guys say they can get it pretty close with a mail tune if they know the cams.
