96 Cobra Supercharger

I have a 96 Cobra and I wanted to put a Supercharger on it. I was wondering what kind of problems could occur if I did that. Thanks.

Oh boy... I'm thinking about doing the same thing to my '97. This is what I have found out from talking to a bunch of different people:

A lot of people tend to blow their engines, even with fairly conservative blowers. 9 times out of 10 its the #7 piston that goes. This is because the intake manifold favors the #6,#7, and #8 cylinders, especially under boost. This causes them to run lean. Combined with the fact that the stock pistons are not tollerent to detonation, boom.

Does this mean you shouldn't do it? No. But be careful. Don't be tempted to run more boost, don't run much timing, make sure the fuel deliverly is good, and consider using octane boost.

Check out www.modular4v.com. The guy who put the site has run several different blower applications with sucess and has a lot of good tips on keeping things under control.
