Get Wired?

I need plug wires...

Does anyone have any problems w/after market wires?? or am I wasting my time? Im being told to stay w/stock O.E. Im thinking about FMS 9mm. or will I lose spark travel on a larger wire? No power adders or heads planned. I need any recommendations on 8.5mm's too. Anyone?...any ideas thanks-

In my opinion, plug wires are one of the last things in the performance arena you want to look at for near stock stangs unless you're going for a whole new ignition system.

If they just need to be replaced, I'd go for the FMS 9mm wires, They deliver a good spark and are pretty sturdy.

Be advised, if you're going from 8mm wires, you may need to "adjust" the wire looms to hold the larger diameter wires. I just bought some aftermarket FMS looms to take care of the issue.

get the FMS 9mm wires. they look great under the hood and will make your car feel better on the top end. you will need different looms to hold the larger wires.

I just replaced the wires on my 96GT because it was missing on the highway and missing pretty bad if I dropped a gear to pass someone. I went with factory replacement ones from my Ford dealer. Problem solved
