Its a T-45 (Tremec built). It uses the same shifter as a T-5.
Do not buy the one for an actual Tremec tranny! Later, Jason ------------------ N/A 1997 Cobra 12.70 109.62 MPH 1.71 60 ft. on Drag Radials Going for N/A 11's on the stock motor |
I agree with above. My
00 GT has a T45. I'm going with Pro 5.0 and steel bushing kit to retain stock handle. |
Ask your local Ford dealer to run your VIN through "OASIS". It will show engine type, trans, build date, warranty start date, any ESP plan, etc, also any open recalls. Not sure how far back, vehicles 8 years or newer?

Yep, T45. It can use the same shifter as a T5. Steeda Tri-Ax and the Pro-5.0 are the most popular.

Anyone else notice alot of gear noise decelerating in 4th and 5th with the tremec
T45 compared w/ a borg-warner t45 or t5. My 99 makes a racket compared to any other mustang I owned. And its not a lack of tranny fluid cause I checked. |
