X or H that is the question
im buying a 97 cobra very soon and i want to start my list of mods to purchase. Should i get a h-pipe w/ or w/o cats, or a bassani x w/ or w/o cats?? how bout a dr. gas x? i hear that the 4.6ers need backpressue ie cats! but i have an offroad h on my car now! someone help!

You don't need cats, mufflers provide enough back pressure. Offroad H will give a little better TQ down low and the Offroad X will give a little better HP up top. Most people with 96-98 Cobra's make more power overall with the Offroad H, dyno wise at least.

This a very debated question, true most people and mag's state the x for hp and the h for tq..It is a well known fact that cobras lack torque...Most of the cobra owners I know, 6 that are in the low 12's pushing 11's NA run X pipes, laroccas recomends them to most of there clients, H pipes are great for sound, but the X pipoe seems to come out the winner for the Cobras, My Dr gas x o/h is on its way
