Ems
Any of you ever use this? For those of you who don't know what it is, if you have watched the Fast and the Furious, the computer that they show just before the first race that shows all the stats and allows modification of the engine... that's an EMS (or at least that's what I've been told to call it, you might call it something else). Just wondering. My next door neighbor is getting one for his Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR4 (700 hp... it's a sweet car).

My first question is why would you be watching the Slow and the Stickered in the first place....
ECM is the description you are looking for. And for most normal people, the only time you should see a laptop hooked up to an ECM module is right next to a dyno while tuning your setup... |
Stand alone engine management systems cost anywhere from $2000 to $4000 and aren't for your average guy. These are made for serious race or street cars that need the ability to monitor and tune every aspect of the car.

they are way expensive and are not worth it unless all you do is race normal driving should not require it the only thing that i would buy and is alays good to have is a reliable a/f gauge, oil pressure gauge, temp gauge, and fuel pressure gauge all the other stuff is kinda useless and for the 2 g`s or more you can get a supercharger.
