valuves get stuck open on 98 cobra

On my buddies 1998 cobra his valves keep getting stuck open and his check engine light comes on. Anyone know a good fix. He cleans them and like a month later it happens again.

How about he change the oil once in a while? ;)

Actually, try running 1 bottle of slick 50 in there next oil change. What is he doing now to clean them off?
