Head swap question
 

This has probably been asked 1000 times but I can never seem to do a proper search for the info need.

My question is; What year(s) heads would be a direct bolt on from 99-02 for my 97 GT? I thought I read somewhere that on certain years you had to change/modify your altenator brkt etc...

I have a guy who has 2000 heads and intake for sale so I figured I better check before I buy em.

Any of the 99 up heads will fit the 97. Make sure to get all the different hoses,gaskets and bolts before doing the swap. Look on line for the head swap kit and see what parts you get in their kits. That will give you a list of the exact parts you need to do the swap. as far as the alternator bracket is concerned that is a minor deal. The 96-98 has a little different alternator braket set up than the 99 up models. It should not be hard to do the modifing. Sorry I don't know the exact mod you need to make. If you can get the used heads and intake at a good price, jump on it!
