Bullitt Springs in '99 Cobra??
I performed a search and found several people who swapped the Bullitt springs on thier GT's with good results. However, I have a '99 Cobra which I want to get rid of 4x4 look. I don't want to slam it (3/4" lower will do the trick) and I don't necessarily want to get c/c plates, bushings etc. - a simple spring and shock/strut (if necessary) is all I want to do.
Anyone perform this swap? I want to then run w/18" x 9" wheels. I'd like stock-like ride quality without any messing up of the stock suspension geometry. Thanks for comments. |
Sorry dude but you have to get IRS specific springs

Okay, IRS specific rate springs. Steeda? HR? What are my options? How much will they lower the car? Will I need anything else, such as c/c plates, etc? Ride quality? Thanks for your input. |
Every reputible spring company makes 99-03 cobra springs. They will drop your car 1-2 inches depending on what springs you get.
As long as dont go over a 2 inch drop the springs will be all you need. I have looked them for my 01' cobra and they run from 250-400 bux depending on brand. The cobra has an IRS rear so the springs are not interchangeable with GT/bullit's |
