Dumb Question -- Wipers

The Dumb Question is this: anybody know of a way to change the number of sweeps the windshield wipers take when you call for the "spray" function? My '03 GT takes three. Seems like that's one too many -- on the second sweep all the fluid has already been zamboni'ed away, and the third sweep only further streaks or jams whatever junk it was I was trying to get rid of.

Hoping one of you wizards has figured this one out, along the lines of turning off the seat belt chimes, which worked like a charm.

MAN, if only it were true that this is how little I have to worry about in my life...
