Default Problem getting it into gear

Today after about an hour worth of city driving I stopped the car, put it in neutral, and after a min I pushed in the clutch and tried to shift into first gear. However I could not get it in, and 2nd was the same way. I lifted my foot of the clutch and tried it again but no use. I had to shut off the car and get it into gear before starting it. I went a few feet down the road and tried it again and the same thing happened.

I currently have a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch and pressure plate with a stock quadrant. The stock quadrant releases the clutch at the top of the pedal, its always been that way.

Can someone tell me if its the clutch or clutch quadrant or a way to check it?

Default Alternator upgrade

OK, It's around 175.00 for the Powermaster kit, but would it be easy to swap in an alternator from an SN-95 car? And if that does work, what wire needs to be run?

Thanks,

Rob

Sounds like your quadrant. I had the same problem and it disappeared when I got a Ford Racing quadrant with heavy duty cable.

It does sound like the quadrant but it could also be the result of a streched cable too, when you replace the quadrant replace the cable. Most of them come in a set anyway.

About that alternator, there will be some minor grinding to the current alternator bracket and you will have to cut one of the plugs off and splice the negative, and positve into the alternator, it will come with instructions too so I wouldn't worry, it's not that complicated. Just borrow or buy a dremel, it worked perfect for me.
