Default problems with lowering

I am wanting to lower my car approx 1 1/2"...will i need to add camber/caster plates to get the front end aligned back to factory specs, or is there enough ajustment in the car to do without..
i am doing it more for looks than to improve the handling, but don't want to wear out the tires prematurely.. also, what spring kit would you recommend....car is a 2000GT....thanks for any advice..
