Exclamation Procharger update...

Got good news and bad news...
Good news is the blower is in.
Bad news is was my MAF was calibrated incorrectly, and had to be sent back to Pro-M.
So I'm now running the stock meter (set for 19lb injectors) and running rich. To be safe, we've set the FMU for minimum boost for now.
I had to cancel the dyno tune until next week, and I will be babying it until the meter comes back.

Someone also put a small scratch on my rear fender... degenerates...

Good news is that even at minimum boost, running the wrong MAF, and not tuned, I can already tell this thing's gonna be a beast.

More info as it comes in...

Ricer 2: I don't know. It looked kind of like a yellow SN95 Mustang.
Ricer 1: Nah, fast SN95 Mustangs don't exist... Must have been a mirage or something...

Hammer, what all comes in the supercharger kit and how much does it cost? How much more boost/hp do you get with the upgraded intercooler?

Phil - What happened man? What model were you running and how much boost?

Good luck with the repairs.

Hammer - any word yet? Hope things are going well. Any luck with the intake issue?

Take care, E

Eric,

Thats a p600b, 9lb kit for lt1 z.

We never spun it over 5400rpm or so cause we were still testing things. Stock puter didnt like the cam i had in it and the blower.. so we were working out bugs. Going down the road at around 2500rpm and heard it hit.. within 3secs it went from normal to GREAGNAGEOAFHAOE8A8EF*CK heh.

We never overspun it.. even if i DID go WOT.. i havent put the 7k pill in yet.. had a 6k pill. It wasnt starving for oil.. had more than enough.

It seemed fine.. was tight, no discernable backlash in gears b4 we put it together. All i figure is that the impeller wasnt balanced, wobbling.. more and more over time, doesnt take much to eat up a .015" tip clearance

When it crashed, i guess the balls inside the bearing behind the impeller kept spinning inside the stopped I and O races b/c the middle race, that goes around the balls was inside my intercooler...

Its been almost 3weeks i think now.. Dorian will be back at ATI monday so im going to talk with him then. I hope they repair it for free... If not.. i couldnt bring myself to drop $$$ on a D-series. Doesnt matter, i'll likely go with a t-76 sometime down the road... i dunno what a p600b would be able to make on a 8.7-9CR 383.

My fingers are crossed for sure.
