The aluminum driveshaft is lighter than the stock steel piece. This reduces the rotational inertia of the drivetrain and so the power lost between the crank and the rear wheels is reduced. What this means is that for the same amount of engine/crank horsepower less power is lost in the drivetrain, and more power makes it to the rear wheels. It is not a large difference, but it should net 2-4 rwhp.

T-Bone: Is there a noticeable difference in the output of the AC with the pulleys. I've heard that it doesn't work as well, but I don't have any hard evidence...
