spark plugs in the new GT
HEY i was wondering if anyone knows the correct method to putting plugs in the new coil-on-plug type system;specifically, how do you properly remove the coil and, is it integrated into a boot of some sort. thanks.

Changing the plugs is absolutely easy, except for one of them. I have to remember how to do this. I think you loosen the 2 bolts holding the fuel rails. Then loosed the screws holding down the coil and pull them out. It's one piece that goes down to the plug. Do the one on the passenger side near the windshield first because it is a pain in the a$$ because of lack of space.

so, after you unbolt the coil(s) its one piece that slides off more or less? do you unplug them also? do you have to remove the fuel rail or just loosen it to get some working room to remove the coil?

You have to remove the feul rail completly from the injectors. You may also have to give the rubber sleve a good jerk to pull it lose, don't worry it wont break easily. Another good idea is to have a vac handy and suck the dirt out of the hole when you remove each plug other wise their impossible to get back into the hole cleanly and yes that hole catches a lot of dirt, or at least they did on my car, one last suggustion use the rubber sleve to reinstall the plug it maes it a lot easier and you won't drop them.
