Default T-5 tools?

going to be diving into my t-5. Im going to be replacing some gears and synco's i know it.. No more 2nd gear, scraps going into 3rd and no reverse. Got 20 miles on this "New world class t-5". any special tools i am going to be needing?

1983 mustang, 393 cubic inch stroker small block, victor jr heads and intake, gold race 1.6 roller rockers. comp cam 304, 244@ .050. .576" hydralic retro roller cam,lunati rods. block was o-ringed,10:1 forged pistons, speed pro fit fit rings, clevite bearings,msd distributor and igniton,be cool huge radiator, black lite electric fan, march underdrive pulleys, mildon deep sump oil pan, mac 1 3.4" long tube headers, 3" dr gas x-pipe and mac exhaust,ARP bolts. car weighs 2900 lbs w/out driver, sub frames, weld wheels, mickey thompson sportsman pro 26 x 10.5 x 15's,#8 fuel line steel braided

Try HanlonMotorsports.com they have a T5 repair video and it shows all tools and how to do. I think it is around $16.00. I got it and it helped.

If you're making ANY kind of power, stock up on 3rd gear synchro's. Just the way it is bro........

Might be time to kick the tranny up a notch or two.

I'd prefer to invest my time and money in a dd performance T-56. Im not in a position to purchase one. Maybe in a few months. Then atleast the t-5 would be worth selling to help offset some cost. 3700 is where i need to get too.

With the kind of power your motor is making, I wouldn't do anything to that t5 unless you are going to get it pro-shifted. Even the world class t5 ain't gonna hold that kind of torque. Until then, stock up on 2 and 3 synchros.
