You got me on that one... I would assume that it would be a simple task of locating the speed cable and removing it from the tranny housing and replacing the gear, I believe you are supposed to put a little lube on the new gear to reduce the friction and increase the life... but, again, I haven't done this before, maybe Hammer knows... You could also "borrow" a chilton's manual from someone and look in there, I am sure it would mention something about it...
