saleen style body kit question
 
when taking off the stock bumper of my 98 Gt, they had to remove this big heavy, metal piece that they said could not go back on when installing the saleen rear bumper. Uh, is this safe? What is it for?

As long as that big metal piece wasn't the bumper, you should be alright...

Just ask the body guy's what it is for. they know better than anyone else. If it's a big heavy piece than you are better off. Unless it IS the fuel tank armor!!
