Question Saleen's Powerflash Module

Does anyone have or know about this? From what I can make out, it reprograms your computer taking into account your modifications. It's supposedly available for 96's and up. Apparently it was good for 20hp on a new GT.

Question

You know I was wondering the same thing too. I'm thinking of purchasing one supposedly for $50.00 more it can also compensate your speedo when you change your gears, it this correct? Hopefully we'll get some good feed back. Thanks! =)

Not to be picky but if you're ever going the supercharger route ... you'll need to reprogram the computer anyway.

Just picking up ... a way to save some money.

If you plan on a supercharger.

I'm going to call then tonight or tomorrow and report back. I'm interested in what has to be done whenever you add another new mod to the car whether it be a throttle body, mass air meter, h-pipe, etc.

This came up on the Corral, and is still going actually. I'll post the link when ever the Corral comes back up. But I'm not real sure what the Power Flash does that a custom tune can't.

I called Saleen. According to the person I spoke to, the software will re-program the PCM computer. If you have changed your MAM, then the Powerflash won't work. It will recognize changes made to the throttle body, R&P gears, exhaust, and pulleys. I did not ask about a change in heads, intakes, or S/Cs. For $200, it seems to be a good deal for 20hp. It all depends if you're going to only add on basic bolt-on mods. I think I'll go over to the Corral to see the discussion Snakedriver mentioned.
