seat belt alert

I recently ran across the sequence to get rid of the annoying seta belt alert for 99-up fords.I know that on some of them you just have to push the button that the seta belt goes into, but on my 01 gt,you have to put the seat belt on, then take it off.Even if the key is just turned on.If anyone wants this, let me know and I will post it,otherwise it would be a lot of typing for nothing.

How do you turn it off?I just put my back seat belt in it,and i keep it there all the time.

Alright, I thought it was a joke, and someone had a camera on me when I was doing it, but,hey it worked.

Make Sure:
*The parking brake is set
*The truck/car is in Park(Automatic),Neutral(Manual)
*The ignition is off
*All doors are closed
*The driver's safety belt is un-buckled
*The Parking and Headlights are off

Then follow these steps:
1.Turn the ignition switch to ON,but do not start
2.Wait for the safety belt warning light to go off(1-2 mins)

Steps 3-5 have to be completed in 60 Seconds

3.Buckle,then un-buckle the driver's safety belt 3 times
4.Turn the headlights on, then back off
5.Buckle then un-buckle the safety belt 3 more times

After step 5,the Safety Belt Warning Light will be turned on for 3 seconds.

6.Within 7 seconds of the safety belt warning light turning off, buckle then un-buckle the safety belt.

This will disable the belt minder if enabled,or if disabled, will re-enable.

7.Confirmation of disabling is provided by flashing the safety belt light 4 times per second for 3 seconds.

That's it, takes about 5 mins.Well worth to get rid of that annoying sound.
