Lightbulb Shaved heads

I have a 96 GT and needed to have my valves adjusted. Since I had them out a friend told me to get the heads shaved, so I had the guy shave them down to .010. It seems to have more torque, but is there anything else I need to do to compensate since there is more compression? Thanks!
