Angry HELP WITH TORQUE BOXS AAAAAHHHHHH

Does anyone know of any places to buy a rebuild kit other then Wild Rides. I have theirs and they don't seem to be working that well. They hold the lower control arms in but I need a rebuild kit that replaces the whole box. Mine are REALLY REALLY bad. Or has anyone welded theirs in and how would you do it. Thanks everyone.

Thumbs up

Well I make a kit very similar to tht Wild Rides but mine have a extar plate that ties it to the frame on both sides and they are made from Stainless so they will not rust.

If you already have the Wild Rides kit in I would suggest, tap all the seams back together and make sure they are square again and FULLY WELD all thr factory seams and I welded the top plates to the floor board as well (The ones under the rear seat)

If your boxes are really trashed and non repairable South Side Machine makes a replacement adjustable torque box, but I have never delt with this so I do not know if it works.

I damaged my boxes very bad since I run the SSM which tend to be hard on the boxes, after welding the seams and adding the re-enforcement kit I have never had a single problem. I also welded plate across the bottom so it boxes the arm in a little. You just need to notch it out so that the arm still has room to travel. Wolfe sells similar plates for $25.00.

Rick, on your website it said you ran 12.60's on another set of rims and tires, on your post it says 12.10's what did you do since what you have on your site to run 5tenths faster? I have a very similar setup and have not run the car yet, so I was curious to how close my times would be to yours, thanks
