shift lights!
I wanna get a shift light for my 2002 GT 5 speed, but I need some suggestions and instructions maybe...What sort of lights would work on my car, i know i got the electronic ignition something or other, i dunno, new to stangs...I want a shift light where I can set the rpm's to 5000, and i guess like 3000, something like the shift tab things that autometer has. Any suggestions where to get one cheap and which, if not all would work for my car?
Also, how hard is it to install? Where do the main wires goto, besides power and ground? |

Well I don't want to have to buy that tach adapter, so is there anyway that I can splice the shift light onto the stock tach wire??!! All it is is a light, it doesn't overload anything or send any charge out, just receives it and inturprets it.

There aren't any wires to connect to that is why you need a tach adapter. The stock ignition signal is sent in square wave and tachs and shift lights do not operate based on that type of signal. In other words you have to buy a tach adapter in order for it to work.

Check this light out.
Looks good and it's all inclusive. No adapters needed. Never seen one, but this looks like a great idea. http://www.raptorperformance.com/ |
