I'm sorry, but this car could beat a stock 99-up auto GT on the highway. You can't make up for the hp with simple bolt-ons when racing from a highway roll with 40 less hp. The car was heavy so you can get out in front off of the line, but from a highway roll, you will not catch one.
My bad on the HP #'s. A buddy of mine has a new GS430, and he said it had 320hp. He said it was the first lexus with over 300horses, so I assumed the older GS's had less than that.

As far as racing the GS's, keep in mind they weigh 3700lbs. That is a lot of weight to get moving. When I raced the GS400 from a stoplight, I shut down around 80. It didn't look at all like he was closing the gap, maybe he just gave up.

In my hiway run-in with the GS, I thought it was a 400 series, but maybe it was a 300? I wouldn't think I would have just run even with a GS300 though? Anything can (and will) happen on the street!
