IMO the Pro 5.0 is a stronger shifter, it has a cast steel ring, instead of the aluminum one that the steeda has. In the contrast I think the steeda is a lot more practical shifter. It has a lot more comfortable position, because the handle has a better bend in it. As far as shortness of throw, to my knowledge they are teh same. Personally I have the Steeda, I got it for the reasons listed above, and it is $10 cheaper. Steeda is a very trust worthy name, and I gaurantee that you will be completely satisfied with the steeda. I have no experience with the pro 5.0 but I would imagine that it would only be needed by Arnold Schwartzeneger. I slam my steeda pretty hard, and it doesn't give at all, so though the pro 5.0 may be stronger, it is an overkill, the Steeda is strong enough. (Plus you will save a little weight) I am not a shifter expert nor have I any experience with the Pro 5.0, so be sure to seek out others opinions on the subject before you come to a conclusion.
Hope this helps.
