Beth,

The KYB's are fine if you just want better all around performance for the street or mild track. I think I got the set(fronts, rears and quad shocks) for alot cheaper than going with Tokico or other better or more expensive adjustables.

I don't like to mess with my set up so the KYB's work for me. Better handling but noticeably harsher than stock but not too bad.

As far as lowering goes, all the kits take the work and thinking out of the equation for you so all you have to do is pick the height and decide whether you want specific weight or progressive springs. I like specific but if you pick the wrong ones you're kind of screwed so go with progressives on a street car.
