Question transgo shift kit

well i got my transgo kit done today and have a question ok i put it into 1 it will stay in 1st and i shift into d it will go into 2nd and 3rd now when i shift into od it stays in 3rd no overdrive now do i need a aftermarket shifter or is something wrong

An aftermarket shifter wont change anything. it moves to the same exact three positions your factory shifter does. theres something wrong with your kit install... tear it down and double check everything.

I *thought* I had that same problem after installing my transgo. I couldn't figure out what was wrong so I took my car to my mechanic. He said everything was fine. The reason it wouldn't shift into OD was because its not suppose to until about 60mph once the kit is intalled. Take your car on the highway with it in OD and see what happens...

Engine: FMS 65mm tb/spacer, C&L 73mm maf, MAC cai.

Drivetrain: Built AOD w/ Edge 2800rpm lockup converter, hardened 3-4 inner shaft, Trans-Go shift kit, B&M supercooler, FMS 3.73 gears & aluminum d/s, rebuilt traction lock.

Exhaust: BBK unequal length shorty headers, BBK o/r h-pipe, Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers.

Chassis/suspension/brakes: Kenny Brown supersubs.

The rest is stock.

TwiLighTBluEGT: You are right on the money! The shift kit prevents what so many people do, which can lead to tranny failure.

ok ive had it up to 80mph and still no OD and i followed the insturtions and video to a T so i dont know whats wrong
