The difference sub frames make..
My friend had some custom subs welded in his 85, his car has welds, e.t. streets and skinnies, and about 300hp at the motor, after i rode in it, i knew im getting some soon as possible, the car rode smoother, and handled better, he punched it in 2nd gr, and it felt like the whole car was 10 times more responsive, it felt like it "catapulted" the car, im getting mine welded in this week i hope, i highly recommend it to those who dont have them already.

My car used to wheelhop violently before I added my subframes, got rid of a bunch of squeaks and rattles as well.

Subframes are niiice . My cousins GT wouldnt spin the tires upon launch whereas mine would. Now that he has subframes too, he can do it I believe cause it puts more power to the ground then to pretzeling you body

BIG difference, man... you'll definitely notice it, in the handling, and the squeaks and rattles department!

I am a believer now, also. I just had some Steeda Supersubs welded in last night. I was amazed at the difference in the car. It rides a hell of a lot better, doesn't shake you to death, and traction is much better.
I would recommend subframes to anybody who has a mustang, whether they race it or not. They made a night and day difference in the feel of the car. Very satisfied!!!! |

Here's my experience with my conv. before and after the subframe install:
I took my car to the track when I first got it. Ran TERRIBLE. Really violent wheel hop and flex. I just had Steeda 4190 alloy subframes welded w/ the seat crossbrace in by a pretty good welder. My car is so much stiffer. Much more fun to drive too, because if I hit 2nd really hard it doesn't feel like it bounces off the ground anymore. Go ahead and get it done and see for yourself how your car takes those bad pot holes: Much better! It'll be the best thing to you to your car. You don't want it to twist into a pretzel after hard launches. P.S. Make sure you have a good welder too. Although you can bolt them right in on the Fox body, you still want to weld them; makes for a really STRONG combo. ------------------ Green '94 GT conv. -- K&N filter charger, FMS 9mm wires, Accel hipo cap/rotor, 180* thermo, 14* timing, off road H-pipe in front of 2 chamber flow's, Steeda subframe connectors w/ crossbrace, and still workin' on the rest!
