Question Does your mustang set off car alarms?

Mine sure does, especially in parkades The other day I got asked not to park in one of the parkades at UBC (University of British Columbia) because I must've set off the alarms on a dozen "sport-compacts", It was funny listening to all of them echo and see all the lights flashing My car is parked beside an integra at my building and if it's the first time my car's been started that day it's alarm goes off and there isn't even much for the sound to echo off of. Anyone else's car seem to do this? Maybe its the X-pipe combined with the MAC mufflers.

Oh yeah...all the time. When I attended USC I was always setting off alarms while driving through the parking structure. Believe it or not, my '94 Lightning does the same and it has a BONE STOCK exhaust...go figure.

This doofus across the street has THE MOST SENSITIVE ALARM IN THE WORLD. It chirps when my car is idling in the driveway, and as soon as I even idle by it goes off. So when he parks in the street I get to hear every other car set it off as well.

Some cars (rice) I drive by in parking lots chirp at me, but they don't actually go off. In parking GARAGES though, the x-pipe gets em every time!

Not yet....it's loud, but not that loud (maybe the alarms around here aren't so sensitive). But, I'm gonna be doing my exhaust (MAC 1 5/8 longtubes, MAC pro chamber, MAC 2 1/2 cat back) - will I set them off regularly then???

MY HUSBAND PUT SOME OLD "HUSH THRUSH" MUFFLERS HE FOUND OUT OF A WRECKING YARD ON OUR '86 GT. THAT CAR WAS LOUD (WE FINALLY TONED IT DOWN), BUT WE WOULD CRUISE THROUGH WHERE THE COLLEGE KIDS HANG OUT EVERY FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHTS, JUST TO SEE HOW MANY WE COULD SET OFF. TOO MUCH FUN! :-)

Cool

My cay always sets off car alarms here on campus. I kinda enjoy driving through the parking lot seeing how many I can set off. The funniest thing is there are a lot of guys with trucks with no mufflers that cant set them off. Those people need a cam.

the lady next door to me asked me not to floor it when i leave and drive past her van cause i set the alarm off eveytime. the funny thing is i am just idleing when i go past, and had to tell her that her alarm was WAY too sensitive!

i also set about 10 ricers alarms off when ever i drive down my girlfriends street. i guess there all very paranoid!

Mine will not set them off (open air) but there is a car in my lot that chirps when I drive by in the morning. I love gunning it when in Underground parkades though, that is awesome.

Great topic! I was thinking of posting one like this the other day but forgot all about it. I have this neighbor with a Dodge dakota and I can idle by it and make it chirp once, then get on it and set it off. I have lived next door to him for over a year and never knew he had an alarm until I got my exhaust done.

I was also in a parking garage in Indy attending a Supercross awhile back and had a little fun there too. These MAC flowpaths sure put out a tone when you're 30 feet underground in a concrete building

LOL. this is by far one of my favorite things to do. I love to just drive around in parking garages. I always make sure i go park in the top or the bottom as the case may be. Can't to get home and try it with my new headers and 3" pipes.

I have a stock 01 GT and this morning I set off a car about 50 yards ahead of me parked on the side of the road on my way to work. Yesterday i drove through a parking lot and tripped someones alarm and it scared the **** out of me. For a second I thought my horn was going off. Pretty darn cool if you ask me.

Ha ha ha . I love this topic.

Heck yeah. I set off a few and made many chirp with there little warning beeps. It fun. But some people just have there car alarms on super sensitive mode. WHY???

But I'm not gonna go park 500 yards from a building just b/c some punk has his car alarm too sensitive-- ur well it could just be from the Mega Rumble of the Flow'd stang.

Great topic.
