![]() hey guys. I'm saving cash to do my full upgrade of my stang, and not sure if I should go ahead and get the turbo kit now and only run 10 lbs of boost till I get a new block and then hold it at about 15 till I get the rest upgraded.... or should I just hold off and upgrade first, then TC?

![]() 10 pounds is to much for the stock internals specifically the pistons they will be broke in 2 seconds with that much boost the max for stock pistons is 6 psi the rods will hold and the crank but the 4.6 stock pistons are weak.

![]() With intercooling and good tuning the stock short block should be able to handle 8-10 psi from a turbo, but as was said the pistons are the weak link it's advisable to at least change those out.

![]() I'd get the Turbo setup now and just run low boost like 5-6lbs. Even at that level, you'll still smoke 98% of the cars out on the street.
