Talking AFM powerpipe install

Well, it's IN!
*woohoo*
THe installation was very straightforward, the only tools needed were a screwdriver, dremel, and a 5/16" wrench.

The first order of business was to remove the old intake parts.

here's a shot of the old parts compared to the new ones

after the reducing elbow went onto the vortech, the power pipe gets inserted into the fenderwell first, then into the elbow. I left everything a little loose to help with fitment.

with that done, the Pro-M and filter assembly is pushed up into place on the power pipe and sensors are plugged back in and clamps tightened.

the only part left to do is to notch the hood so it will close. i used some white grease on the top of the power pipe, then closed the hood and noted where the interference was. With the help of a Dremel, the fiberglas dissolved like butter.

and Voila!
the hood closes, the car runs, and life is GOOD!

well, there ya go!
i should have an idea of what gains it gives, since that's the only recent mod.

well...
except for my F.A.S.T. Billet Shift knob!!!!!

i got it from a friend who is co-owner of Fabrication and Speed Technology in North Hills, CA.
