![]() ok, im driving down the road and when i get my RPM's to around 2k or higher my lights dim and my batter light comes on, but when idling and keeping the rpm under 1700 or so everything is fine. so i get home pop my hood and one point on the belt has a decent tare in it.It's kinda frayed a little but look like it would be ok to drive to go get the belt. I also replaced the alternator a while back and still have a waranty on it. do you think the tare could make the belt loose and cause the alternator problem or show i get a new belt a swap the alternator to, i guess i could try the belt first (duh) thanks for any input
