Talking 99 Cobra dyno's 487rwhp @ 8psi

Well, the final tune pull we did netted us 487rwhp. Our torque was at 390. That was after nearly 10 pulls, with a cool intake, I think we would get a tad more.

The custom chip netted us only about 15more rwhp, but it stretches the torque curver further out over the rpm range. The torque pulls real steady from about 4800rpms to 6700rpms. Shifting around 66to6700 brings us back in right at 5000, so once i am moving, i should never leave the power band.
Fuel looks perfect at 6500, we are at 12.5.

After that it gets a little edgy. 6600@12.7, 6700@13.0, and 6800@13.2.

But, considering we were putting 13.5 at 6300 with Sean Hyland's Chip, I am pretty happy. There has been no problem with the mass air pegging. I had it calibrated for the 50 lb/hr injectors with a 25% rich condition above 5000rpms. Whereas before we hit 5 volts at 5200rpm's on the first proM I had. The highest voltage we have even hit was 4.5. So, i still have room to grow.

I think the pump is giving us about all it has right now, or we could make a little more power. But, with 487rwhp at only 8 pounds of boost, I am pretty happy. To be honest, when i compare 8psi with a lot of other cobra's, most seem to make 415 to 445 at the wheels. The pump isn't losing pressure, just giving all it's got.

I will try to shift @6500 for now on the street, even though I was pushing 62 to 6300 before. Better than pushing my luck. I have about 150 passes on the cobra since march with no problems though. At the track I will run around 99octane and push the 6700 to 6800. I was running 6400 before with 99 Octane, so i think i will be fine. I will upgrade the fuel system this winter and push the car further. I will probably go to a t-trim blower, efficiently, the s-trim is only rated at about 650crank hp. which would be about 553 at the wheels. With an impeller upgrade and 3.33 pulley, i would be well over that. The crank is supposed to be rated around 800, so I am going to goal myself for about 650 at the wheels. That will be pushing it close enough.
