If anyone claims to have a sketch, it isn't the real thing. Ford is spending a tremendous amount of effort to keep it secret. Tom Mays, the guy in charge of the ID, has admitted that we need only look to his other designs (Thunderbird, 39 concept, etc) to see where the trend is. It will be retro, tied into the latest body style.

But due to budget cuts, they are pushing the release by a full two years. I could be 2006 before we see an all new Mustang. Look for Ford to freshen up the current model with a 280hp 4.6L SOHC and redefined styling, but essentially the same car.

What else is new?
