Default Steering shaft

FYI,

The Flaming River steering shaft FR1509P that they advertise for '94-'97 stangs also fits '99 and '00 (don't know if anything changed in '01 or '02 - probably not). I just put one on mine as the rag joint was getting sloppy and introducing alot of backlash in my steering. I had to do a little grinding on the end of the shaft where it attaches to the column to get it in, but other than that it was a snap. Don't know if my stock one was defective or damaged somehow, but it was winding up all the way to the metal limiting tabs. The new one is much heavier and has needle-bearing U-joints instead of the rubber coupling. Steering response is immediate and very precise now.

I rescently finished up my Griggs install. The steering shaft really does make a huge difference.
