Yeah, no kidding. With stock 3.27s you should be in third gear up over a 100 and 4th gear till 160. You're not running out of gear.
I wouldn't expect you to pull on a GS400 at 100+ since weight/hp means less and aero/hp means more so your advantages goes away, but it shouldn't be pulling on or passing you either. A Legan shouldn't pull on or even hand with you regardless. My room mate had a 94 Legand (auto) which we lined up a few times for the hell of it when I was stock. It wasn't close anywhere. The new M3 or M5 will give you fits as it walks on by at that speed, but the GS400 shouldn't. BTW, how much shifting do you do at 100+ mph? |
